Bank Of America Corporation

Tell Bank of America to disclose all political contributions

Bank of America received $45 billion in government bailout money during the financial crisis. According to a recent report by the Center for Political Accountability, they also use shareholder dollars to make political contributions without reporting where all of their donations are going. As consumers and taxpayers, we believe that it is critical to know where these dollars are going and how they are affecting the political process.

Large financial institutions have a powerful influence on the American economy, and as concerned consumers and shareholders, we want to know how Bank of America is also making an impact on political elections. Without full disclosure, we cannot support an institution that may contribute to political policies that potentially do not serve the interests of our families or our communities.

Senior Vice President of Investor Relations
Bank of America Corporation

Dear Mr. Stitt,

Large financial institutions have a powerful influence on the American economy, and as concerned consumers and shareholders, we want to know how Bank of America is also making an impact on political elections. Please prepare a public report of all corporate and large private political donations as well as all lobbying expenditures and public policy agenda so that we can fully understand how your company’s contributions affect our political process.

Until Bank of America fully discloses the dollars spent to aid the above-mentioned political initiatives, I will not place my money with your bank or recommend your services to others. Moreover, I intend to encourage fellow Moxy Vote users that are Bank of America shareholders to penalize the board of directors if this issue is not addressed to our satisfaction.

As consumers, it is important for us to know how the companies that we bank with are contributing to political policies, which ultimately affect our communities, families and the larger economy. Please keep us posted on your efforts through Moxy Vote.

Sincerely,
7590 Concerned Citizens
