Tell Campbell's to get rid of BPA

As consumers, we want producers to pay attention to the chemicals and materials used in their product packaging. While it may serve to preserve store bought foods, Bisphenol A (BPA) has been attributed to negative health effects, according to several recent studies. We're addressing this letter to a few well-known companies who have yet to remove BPA from their products because we are concerned about the health of our community and the safety of the food we purchase.

Dear Ms. Driscoll,

As a concerned consumer, I’m asking your company to remove BPA from your canned products. Several studies have reportedly linked BPA to numerous health hazards, including chromosomal and reproductive abnormalities, impaired brain and neurological functions, cancer, cardiovascular system damage, adult-onset diabetes, early puberty, obesity and resistance to chemotherapy.

My health and the health of those in my community are important to me, and the threat of sickness that may potentially result from BPA is far too great of a risk for our families. Until your company has addressed this important issue and the use of BPA, I will not buy or recommend your products to others. Moreover, I intend to encourage fellow Moxy Vote users that are Campbell’s shareholders to penalize the board of directors if this issue is not addressed to our satisfaction. Please remove this substance from your products or fund independent studies that demonstrate that it is not a health risk to our families and communities. Please keep us posted on your efforts through Moxy Vote.

Sincerely,
1952 Concerned Citizens
