McAfee Secure sites help keep you safe from identity theft, credit card fraud, spyware, spam, viruses and online scams
Hey, is this secure?
Hey, is this secure?
Moxy Vote takes this stuff seriously.

We get it. It's your data. You don't want anyone messing around with it. This website would not work if shareholders were uncomfortable creating accounts, sharing data and casting proxy ballots through Moxy Vote. It's in our best interest to get this right. Here's how we do it:

How we protect your security

We use bank-level encryption.

Sensitive data transfers, like those of the registration and login pages, are protected with the same 128-bit encryption and SSL 3.0 that your bank uses.

We're constantly scanning for vulnerabilities.

See that McAfee Secure logo up there in the corner? We earn that every day after they test our site, probing for technical weakness. When they don't find any, we get to display that logo.

We limit the data we collect.

The information we ask for is the minimum necessary to help you intelligently and easily vote your proxy ballots. If we don't need it, we don't require it.

If you dally, we'll log you off.

If it looks like you've forgotten to log off, we'll do it for you so someone else can't access your account from your computer.

Even we don't know your password.

Passwords are never stored in unencrypted form in our databases. That's just common sense.

We'll keep you in the loop.

If you change your vital account information, we'll send you an email just to make sure that you know about the change.

Our privacy policy is strict.

You can read it here.

66% of people use one or two passwords across all the sites they visit.

A very common password is 'password'.

What you can do to protect yourself

Create a strong password.

Make it long and difficult-to-guess. Include letters, numbers, and symbols. Change it regularly.

Protect your password.

Don't share it with others. Don't tape it to your computer. A little common sense will go a long way here.

Keep your browser and OS updated.

If you're running an older browser, consider switching to Firefox, Safari, or Chrome.

Be aware of deceptive emails, popups, and other scams.

Criminals can attempt to acquire your personal information by luring you to a website that looks legitimate, but is actually a fake site. If you receive any suspicious emails or popups, don't click links and don't open any attachments.

Protect your wireless network.

Use encryption. Change your router's default password. Change your SSID (service set identifier) from the default name, and stop SSID broadcasting to hide your network from outsiders.
